Financial Statement

Siempre Unidos California is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2004 to provide life saving care for persons living with AIDS in Latin America. All money donated to the organization goes directly towards supporting our clinics and outreach programs in Honduras. Over half of the funds raised come from individual donors and churches. We are particularly grateful to the Abbott Fund (website) for funding the medical staff salaries and to Episcopal Relief and Development (website) for grants to initiate the micro-industries. Additional revenue is raised through the sale of products made by HIV patients who because of discrimination would otherwise not find work. Our goal is to expand these fair trade employment opportunities both to enable our workers to support themselves and their families and to make many of the clinic operations self-sustaining. With time, we would like to replicate our successful model in Honduras for other Central American countries.
