We welcome everyone, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, political views, and ability to pay.

Social and Spiritual Services

Siempre Unidos provides many unique services that enable HIV positive persons to learn to live with hope despite having AIDS.

Home Visitation

Six Siempre Unidos patients are employed as outreach workers to visit patients in their homes when they initiate care and return if nutritional, emotional or adherence-related problems are identified.

Daily Nutrition

Free meals are provided at each of our clinics in an effort to combat the hunger many of our patients face on a daily basis. Adequate nutrition is crucial to HIV treatment, since many antiretroviral medications must be taken on a full stomach to avoid side effects.

Support Groups

The core of the Siempre Unidos programs has always been our support group. It is here that our patients can speak openly about their lives, obtain valuable information about their health, and make lasting friendships. Meeting topics range from nutrition to the biology of the HIV virus to motivation.

Individual and Couples Counseling

We employ a part-time psychologist that is available to all patients and their families upon request or upon recommendation from a medical doctor. Pastoral Support Many patients feel most comfortable seeking advice from a spiritual leader. For this reason, chaplains from the Episcopal Church of Honduras are always available for counseling or spiritual support to all patients, regardless of their religious affiliation.

Educational Stipends

We provide school supplies, uniforms and books for all school aged children of our patients. Many would not be able to attend public school because their families lack the $32 a year needed to purchase these essential items.
