What We Do
Que Hacemos
In close partnership with the Episcopal Diocese of Honduras and the Ministry of Health of Honduras, we run three AIDS treatment clinics providing medical care, social services and spiritual guidance. To limit the spread of the disease—and to fight the stigma associated with it—we provide education, screening and advocacy to the larger community, as well as employment opportunities to HIV positive individuals.

Beginning in February 2003, Siempre Unidos was one of the earliest providers of effective, affordable anti-retroviral treatment in Honduras.

Siempre Unidos provides many unique services that enable HIV positive persons to learn to live with hope despite having AIDS.

At our patients' request, we have started four micro industries to provide employment with fair trade wages, in safe supportive settings, and with accommodation to their health needs.

We have taken a leadership role in the education of the entire Honduran community about the high prevalence of HIV and how to avoid infection.
