A new clinic building in Roatan

Dr. Ron Worley, president of the From the Heart Foundation has generously donated a 5,000 square foot medical clinic to Siempre Unidos, and we are using the new space to offer combined HIV and general medical care. Our HIV positive patients appreciate the anonymity this affords them, and the community as a whole is grateful for such wonderful access to our full-time Honduran doctor.

The new facility, also located in Punta Gorda, contains three patient exam rooms, three counseling rooms, dental facilities, an X-ray room and a large pharmacy. The building also houses three apartments for staff and volunteers. In addition, there is a 2400 square foot open meeting / waiting area building next to the actual clinic. We held a festive inauguration ceremony on April 28th, complete with local Garifuna dancers, delicious Honduran food, and speeches from many people who have been involved in the Siempre Unidos community. Thanks to all who donated time and effort to make our new clinic the wonderful facility that it is!
