SPECIAL HURRICANE APPEAL

Honduras is suffering terribly due to catastrophic flooding wrought by two category 4 storms -Hurricanes Eta and Iota – striking within two weeks in November. The impact is tremendous:

1,500,000 people (17% of Honduras’ population) have lost furnishings, houses, crops, cattle, and other property
182 Siempre Unidos patients and their families have lost most personal property
- 82 of these families have lost their homes
- All of these families are food insecure

We need your help now. Our fundraising goal is $120,000.

We test thousands of people annually for HIV and are the only nongovernmental organization authorized by the government to provide medication to HIV+ people.

We are based within the community and serve both HIV+ and HIV – members in the same settings, thus de-stigmatizing access.

We target individuals who are marginalized and vulnerable – gay men, commercial sex workers, Afro Caribbean (Garifuna) people, prisoners, and soldiers.
